luii is based in Perth, Western Australia, it's created by Janice Chan in 2007.
luii is part of my Chinese name, literally means bloom, blossom.
Born in Hong Kong, I have been living in Perth, Western Australia since 1997. I completed the Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems and Electronic Commerce, and Postgraduate Diploma in Information Science at Edith Cowan University. Currently working at the University library.
I refuse to be one of the others, dislikes the lack of individuality in mass produced goods. I design and create things that I cannot find anywhere.
I started making jewellery (or jewelry!) and sewing miscellaneous items since 2003, I sold my goodies at markets and craft fairs. Later I opened an online bead shop and an online designer collective to share my passion with crafty friends I met through the internet, markets, craft fairs etc.
The bead shop is closed down because I am no longer running the buinesses full time, I've stopped wholesaling to shops and will mainly focus on this Etsy shop doing small scale retail.
Priorities have changed in life, *sigh* growing up is not much fun :) This is life, be it up or down, I'm enjoying every bit of it.
